I bought some of sausages and bacon, first in Pocklington Arts Centre last year and this year at the newly opened Balloon Tree Farm Shop at Gate Helmsley. The sausages are nice and meaty and the bacon very tasty and much better than supermarket run of the mill!

Their sausages are great - I have tried many of their varieties and completely disagree with the Toulouse ones being hit and miss - they are possibly my favourites along with pork/mustard, pork/black pudding and pork/chive. I regularly load up on their meaty treats at York Farmer''s Market in Murton and the salesman is exactly what I want in a butcher - well fed, jolly and always tasting his own produce. Superb.

The pork, lime and chilli sausages are superb. Deliciously meaty with a feisty flavour.

One of the best varieties is pork and mustard. They are a truely delicious addition to toad-in-the hole.

Bought some of the Pork with Red Onion Marmalade. Nice meaty sausages with a lovely flavour. Nice to cook an the BBQ as very little fat came out.

I purchased the Pork & Apple variety at the local Organic Farm Shop. They were superb. Very meaty and full of flavour. Full marks!

The Burton''s Lime and Chilli is simply stunning! Truly a sublime sausage of the very highest order. I''ve tried many of the Burton''s range and they are all fantastic, but did I mention the Lime and Chilli!?

Tried the Pork Lime & Chilli sausages as the Thai-style combination of flavours sounded great. Unfortunately they were a big disappointment with a completely overpowering taste of lime that was reminiscent of washing-up liquid: inedible. Looking at the other reviews on this site I can only assume that I got a duff batch, but I won''t be trying them again.
