Also known as Beavers Butchers, this is traditional butcher located in Masham. Beer drinkers will know this as the home of Theakstons Old Peculiar and Black Sheep bitter.

They make a large range of sausages. The web site lists over 30 and at least 10 are available in the butchers. The Wild Boar & Ale (the most expensive at £8.25 kg) is made with some of that local ale. This a dark, gamey sausage which is good for braising.

We also enjoyed Black Pudding & Apple and the Country Herb for breakfast (around £4.50 kg). As well as the shop, they also sell via mail order and in local independent retailers.
