Primrose Farm breed and show Gloucester Old Spots and Large Black pigs. Both are rare breeds. The quality of their produce was recognised at the 2003 Great Taste Awards where they won Gold for Cumberland and 2 Silvers for Pork & Garlic sausages and Pork & Leek.
Our favourites were the Pork & Leek which have a delicious taste of leeks and a matching, vibrant green colour.
They sell via mail order, at food fairs and at farmers markets throughout Cornwall.

We stock Primrose Herd sausages at www.seriously-good.co.uk, so of course we are biased. However we only decided to stock them once we had tasted them, rare breed pork, natural casings, minimum additives. Succulent, flavoursome and a real depth of flavour. Award winning garlic is a big hit. My personal favourite is the good old plain pork.
