No one makes steak and kidney puddings like Haymans. Either small or large. Kidney is plentiful and steak lean & tender

On an awayday in Sidmouth, I found Haymans by accident. As a food and drink writer, I never pass a good food shop and it was obvious from the window that here was an old-fashioned artesan butcher of quality. I bought some pork chipolatas and beef sausage. Bringing them back to Dorset, they both were full of flavour and without the fat and water found in mass-made sausages. I was highly impressed by the staff too, whose white smocks, smiles and attention to the customer was quite outstanding. We are planning a visit back to Sidmouth, just so that we can call at Haymans again!
P.S. Try their brisket, it''s quite wonderful.
