Quality butcher selling a wide range of food including Welsh salt marsh lamb, Orkney lamb, free range pork from Plantation Pork in Surrey and Orkney beef. Clearly not interested in sourcing local produce but still an excellent shop.

Prize winning sausages (such as Traditional Pork at £4.50 per kilo, Wild Boar & cranberry £6.80 per kilo and Organic at£6.59 per kilo) and bacon. Recent awards include 2005 Great Taste awards. They also sell a full range of turkey, goose plus wild boar. They also sell fish, cheese, ready made food and deli food.

I brought sausages from them at the Abergavenney food festival. They were a disaster, they had been badly made and fell apart in the frying pan (during my usually fail safe 1 hour slow fry). This was probably because they had been badly made and the mixing process had not released enough meat protein (Myosin) to hold he sausage meat together. I suspect that this was because these sausages were rushed out for the food festival. A visit to the shop a few week later redeemed the sausages,and the Welsh salt marsh lamb is excellent!
