Portorford have recently moved around the corner from Bow Lane to Watling street (opposite Costa Coffee). The new, state of the art shop sells a wide range of meats and when I visited offered no less than 20 varieties of fresh sausages. For those city workers who need a lunchtime sausage fix, they usually sell 2 or 3 cooked sausages - all you need is a roll and some sauce! They do not offer organic or rare breed meat but I was assured that all meat is free range. The wide range of sausages range from stalwarts like plain pork and Cumberland to exotics such as a hot Boerewors made with piri piri and 87% meat.
